Starwood
Crowned Heads is turning a piece of Nashville music history into its newest cigar release with the introduction of Starwood, an event-exclusive robusto paying tribute to the legendary Starwood Amphitheater.
The Nashville-based company announced Starwood on September 9, 2026. The cigar will be produced exclusively for select Crowned Heads retail events and takes its name from the former outdoor concert venue that was a fixture of the Middle Tennessee music scene for two decades.
The Starwood Amphitheater operated from 1986 through 2006 and became one of Nashville's most recognizable concert destinations. With a capacity of more than 17,000 people, the venue hosted artists spanning rock, country and pop music.
The amphitheater's opening night featured Blue Öyster Cult, while its final concert included performances by Aerosmith and Mötley Crüe. Although the facility was eventually demolished following its closure, Crowned Heads says the memories surrounding the venue remain an important part of Nashville's musical history.
Crowned Heads President Jon Huber recalled his own memories of attending concerts at Starwood, including seeing Cheap Trick open for Stone Temple Pilots in May 1997.
Huber said the goal behind the cigar was to capture some of the communal spirit that made the venue memorable, creating a cigar intended to be enjoyed with friends in much the same way concerts at Starwood brought people together.
Crowned Heads Starwood Blend
Starwood will be offered in a single 5 x 50 Robusto vitola and is being manufactured at Nicaragua
American Cigars S.A. (NACSA) in Nicaragua.
The blend consists of:
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro
Binder: Ecuadorian tobacco
Filler: Nicaraguan tobacco from Estelí, Jalapa and Ometepe
Size: 5 x 50 Robusto
Factory: Nicaragua American Cigars S.A. (NACSA)
Unlike a traditional nationwide release, Starwood will only be available at select Crowned Heads events. The company says smokers and retailers should watch Crowned Heads' social media channels and authorized retail partners for announcements detailing where upcoming Starwood events will take place.
For Crowned Heads, the project ties together two things deeply connected to the company's Nashville roots: premium cigars and music.
Starwood is expected to begin appearing exclusively at Crowned Heads retail events, with individual locations and dates to be announced.
