Crowned Heads reintroduces Belgian Blue blend.
Back by popular demand, Crowned Heads is excited to reintroduce its highly anticipated Belgian Blue blend.
After debuting in October 2024, the Belgian Blue blend is making a triumphant return in a new box-pressed format: a 5 1/2" x 56 vitola. “We knew we had something special with the Belgian Blue blend,” said Crowned Heads President, Jon Huber. “But the overwhelming response we received far exceeded our expectations. We were inundated with requests to bring it back, produce more, and even consider it as a regular line. Naturally, we listened to our customers.”
The Belgian Blue takes its name from the renowned Belgian Blue cattle breed, known for its remarkable strength and sculpted, ‘double-muscling’ physique. Reflecting that muscular character, the blend itself is crafted with a bold, textured profile. Composed of 75% ligero tobacco, the blend offers intense strength without sacrificing excellent combustion. As Huber further explained, “While many cigars today are blended primarily for strength, the Belgian Blue was created to be full in flavor first. The intensity and power came as a byproduct of that flavor profile, making it both robust and smooth at the same time.”
The Belgian Blue LE 2025 measures 5 1/2" x 56 and is crafted with a blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos, an Ecuadorian binder, and finished with a rich Mexican San Andres wrapper. Packaged in 12-count boxes, production is limited to 2,500 boxes (30,000 cigars) worldwide, with a suggested retail price of $13.50 per cigar.
Manufactured at the D'Hatuey factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, under the expert supervision of Don Eradio Pichardo, the Belgian Blue LE 2025 joins a range of celebrated Crowned Heads brands produced at D'Hatuey, including Mil Días, Mil Días Maduro, Juárez, Blood Medicine, and Blood Medicine B-Positive. Shipping is slated to begin in early November.
