September 15, 2026 — Black Works Studio (BLK WKS) has announced Culture Vulture, a new limited-edition release handcrafted at Fábrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua.

Culture Vulture is scheduled to begin shipping to select retailers next week and brings one of the more visually distinctive designs yet from Black Works Studio.

The cigar utilizes a combination of Ecuador Maduro, Connecticut and Candela wrappers, creating a striking dual-wrapper appearance. The design produces an ombré-style transition from green to yellow and back to green, highlighting the contrast between the Candela and Habano-colored portions of the cigar.

According to James Brown, creator of Black Label Trading Company and partner at Fábrica Oveja Negra, Culture Vulture represents a significant departure for the Black Works Studio portfolio.

“The Culture Vulture represents a whole new level for Black Works Studio. It’s unlike anything we’ve created before, from the artwork and overall concept to the construction of the cigar itself.”

Brown explained that the cigar and its artwork were developed together, with the visual presentation intended to complement the smoking experience and overall concept.

He also describes Culture Vulture as the boldest profile Black Works Studio has created to date, with an emphasis on greater intensity and depth than previous BLK WKS releases.

“Culture Vulture isn’t just another cigar for us; it’s a statement,” Brown said.
