Awakening Rhapsody
Orange, California — June 7, 2026 — Avowed Cigars has announced the release of Awakening Rhapsody, a special Father’s Day offering that pays tribute to one of the company’s most beloved blends through a unique exploration of past, present, and possibility.
Designed as an ultra-limited sampler, Awakening Rhapsody presents smokers with an opportunity to revisit the Awakening blend through three distinct wrapper expressions. Each sampler contains three cigars built around the same binder and filler combination used in the final production run of Awakening in 2024, while showcasing wrapper leaves originally intended for other celebrated Avowed releases.
The collection includes:
Awakening Original featuring a rare 2015 Ecuadorian Hybrid wrapper that is no longer cultivated.
Awakening White wrapped in a vintage 2016 Ecuadorian Connecticut leaf first utilized in New Dawn.
Awakening Black dressed in a 2021 Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper associated with Hallowed Hands.
The result is a unique smoking experience that allows enthusiasts to explore how different wrapper tobaccos can dramatically influence a familiar blend while preserving the foundation that made Awakening memorable.
“Since we're unable to commemorate Father’s Day with everyone in person, we wanted Awakening Rhapsody to serve as a nationwide celebration,” said Andrew Considine. “From now through June 16, we're gifting Awakening Rhapsody samplers to our retail partners with qualifying purchases, allowing them to create exclusive Father’s Day events and share the experience with their local cigar communities.”
Each cigar was crafted using aged tobacco from the final Awakening production and then paired with wrapper leaves selected from other projects within the Avowed portfolio. The concept creates a bridge between the company’s history and its evolving future, offering smokers a rare glimpse into alternate versions of a blend that has become a cornerstone of the brand.
Production has been limited to just 1,000 boxes, with each sampler containing three cigars that have been patiently aged before release.
“A rhapsody combines multiple themes and ideas into a bold new composition,” said Dave West. “Awakening Rhapsody became a time capsule for us—a project intentionally rooted in the past that would be opened and appreciated at a future moment. That moment is Father’s Day 2026.”
As part of the Father’s Day celebration, participating Avowed retail partners will receive the samplers through June 16 to share with customers during in-store festivities. Following the holiday, any remaining inventory will be made available for purchase beginning June 22, 2026.
